Be used for business purposes in the United States.
Have an electric motor with a battery capacity of at least 7 kWh for vehicles under 14,000 pounds, and 15 kWh if over that weight.
*Conditions apply. Credit will equal the lesser of either 30% of your basis in the vehicle, or the incremental cost of the vehicle, up to the maximum amounts above. There is no limit on the number of credits a business can claim. Vehicle qualifications apply.

State of KS Alternative Fuel Tax Credits

Only available to corporations that are subject to the Kansas corporate income tax.

Vehicle must be fueled by electricity or other qualified alternative fuel.

Credit is 40% of the incremental cost or conversion cost of each vehicle, up to the maximum amounts listed.

Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit

Must be placed in service within low-income communities or non-urban census tracts. 

Businesses meeting wage requirements may get an increased credit from 6% to 30% per station. 

Stations must be placed on the taxpayer's property, used primarily within the United States. 

*Conditions apply. Credit for qualified refueling property, subject to depreciation, with a maximum credit of $100,000 for each single item of property. For property not subject to depreciation, the maximum amount is $1,000 per item.

State of KS Alternative Fuel Tax Credits
