Mile marker 188 on I-70/KTA
The first EV charging stations have arrived on the Kansas Turnpike. Thanks to a partnership between the Clean Charge Network and the Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA), drivers will benefit from stations at the Towanda, Topeka and Lawrence service areas. Each area will offer two DC Fast charging stations and one Level 2 charger.
The Towanda area is at mile marke 65 on I-35, the Topeka area is at mile marker 188 on I-70 and the Lawrence area is at mile marker 209 on I-70. The EV charging stations are open and ready for use. “Electric vehicle charging stations are something we’ve been asked about by customers,” said Steve Hewitt, KTA’s chief executive officer. “We’re excited to make this request reality.”
We’re celebrating with a launch event on July 17 from 10-11 a.m. at the Topeka service area. Email us to RSVP.
